Made one start on the mound in Wichita State's 2-1, walk-off win over Arkansas-Pine Bluff Feb. 25...In that contest Oliver allowed one unearned run on two hits with three strikeouts and a pair of walks in two innings.

Was a four-year letterwinner and starter, and team captain as a junior and senior for head coach Ronald Czarnecki at Oak Forest High School...First team all-state, conference player of the year and second team all-area...First team all-conference honoree as a junior and senior...As a senior, tallied a 0.79 ERA in 44 1/3 innings with two saves, 79 strikeouts and a perfect 8-0 record...Helped his team to a regional title as a sophomore and regional runner-up showing as a junior...Also played football and basketball.
