Accessible Seating
Seating for guests with disabilities and companions are available in Sections 106,108,110, 120, 121, and 122.
 
Aisle Obstructions
Sitting or standing in aisles and stairs is prohibited. Doing so is a safety hazard and may obstruct the view of other guests. Please keep all items clear of the aisle as well.
 
Alcohol
It is prohibited to bring alcohol into Charles Koch Arena. Violators will be subject to ejection and university disciplinary action. 
 
Alcoholic beverages will be available for purchase at bars and concession stands around the concourse and inside the Shocker Lounge. (See Shocker Lounge)
 
Sales are subject to the following policies and procedures:
  • All consumers must be 21 and will be required to show a valid driver’s license at time of purchase (legal age students will be required to obtain a wristband for men’s basketball games)
  • Two drink limit, per person, per purchase
  • WSU-ICAA and Premier Foods reserves the right to refuse service to anyone who appears to be impaired
  • Sales will end:
    • Volleyball: Start of the third set
    • Women’s Basketball: Start of the fourth quarter
    • Men’s Basketball: 10:00 mark of 2nd half 
  • Alcoholic beverages must be consumed or discarded prior to leaving the arena
  • Anyone under the age of 21 who is observed in possession and/or consuming alcohol will be ejected and subject to university disciplinary action
 
ATM
There is one ATM machine in Charles Koch Arena. It is located inside the ticket office lobby.


Banners and Signs
Banners and signs are permitted, provided they are hand-held (no sticks), can be stored beneath seat, and do not block view of other patrons. Signs may not be larger than 24” x 36” and must be collapsible. Any banner or sign containing profanity or objectionable material will be disallowed.

Cameras
Video cameras or flash/professional cameras are prohibited in Charles Koch Arena. Tripods, monopods, and cameras with detachable or interchangeable lenses are prohibited. Cameras smaller than 4″ in length and width, will be permitted. Any bag used to carry the device, must adhere to the Clear Bag Policy.

Clear Bag Policy
Wichita State athletics strongly encourages fans to not bring any type of bag to events at all WSU athletic facilities. Please refer to the Clear Bag page for a complete list of guidelines.

 
Computers / Laptops / Tablets
Computers, laptops and tablets are permitted. Any bag used to carry the device, must adhere to the Clear Bag Policy.
 
Concessions
Concessions are available around the concourse prior to and during events. All Stands and bars are operated by Chartwells. Fans are not permitted to bring outside food or beverages into Charles Koch Arena. Cash and major credit cards are accepted.

Credit Cards/Checks
MasterCard, Visa, and Discover are honored for ticket purchases, at the concessions stands, and at the Shocker Store. With a valid drivers’ license, checks are accepted in the ticket office and the Shocker Store, but will NOT be accepted at concession stands.

Drop Off Policies
Those fans with accessibility or health issues, short term or long term, are able to be dropped off in front of Charles Koch Arena by the flag pole. All other drop offs, including ridesharing (Uber, Lyft, etc.), taxis and hotel shuttles, are on Alumni Drive just south of Charles Koch Arena.

Emergencies / First Aid
In the case of an emergency please find the closest event staff or emergency personnel. Emergency and medical calls must be placed through WSU Police at (316) 978-3450, or by dialing 911. If available, please give the seat location to the police. During men’s basketball games there is a First Aid room located on the concourse level outside of Section 125.

Entrances
Volleyball: All Entrances and the Ticket Office will close at the conclusion of the intermission between the 2nd and 3rd sets.
Women’s Basketball: All Entrances and the Ticket Office will close at the conclusion of halftime.
Men’s Basketball: Ticket Office and all entrances but the South Entrance will close at the conclusion of halftime. South Entrance will stay open until there are 4 minutes remaining in the game, all attendees must already have a valid game ticket.
  • Wichita State Athletics has a NO RE-ENTRY policy for all athletic events. Guests who leave the building will NOT be permitted to re-enter without a valid game ticket.

Expedited Fan Entry Process
Wichita State Athletics Clear Bag policy will expedite fan entry by limiting touchpoints while providing a safe environment for the public at all WSU athletics’ facilities.
 
When Metal Detectors are in use:
Open gate detectors are designed to have persons walk through them with everything in their pockets and their clear bags or clutch (not exceeding 5.5” x 7.5”).

Fan Code of Conduct
Wichita State desires to provide an atmosphere conducive to enjoying Shocker events. Consequently, we ask that you refrain from the following: 
  • Interfering with the progress of the game
  • No use of any tobacco products including, but not limited to, chewing tobacco, cigars, cigarettes, pipes, electronic cigarettes, vaporizers, and all other related devices on university property.
  • Foul, obscene or abusive language or actions 
  • Fighting, unruly or inconsiderate behavior
  • Conduct that endangers fans or participants
  • Intoxication
  • Wichita State Athletics reserves the right to eject any person whose behavior is in violation of the fan coded of conduct, policies, procedures or illegal in nature. Game tickets will be collected from the patron without refund and they will be escorted from the arena.
  • Patrons are encouraged to communicate with Guest Services regarding unruly guests, seating issues, or requests for clean-up. 
 
Persons requiring first aid or emergency help should contact event staff or security personnel. During men’s basketball games there is a First Aid room located on the concourse level outside of Section 125. Emergency medical conditions can be reported to the University police at 316-978-3450.

Gates Open
All arena entrances will open one hour prior to tip-off for volleyball and women's basketball, and 90 minutes prior to tip for men's basketball, or as noted for each event. Consult the schedule for game times.

Lost Children / Parents
In the event your child is lost, IMMEDIATELY notify a member of guest services, an athletic department official, or a uniformed police officer. All lost children should be escorted to the nearest campus or athletic department official. Parents of lost children should follow the same procedure. 

Lost & Found
Report lost items or deliver found items to the Ticket Office. Please contact the Operations office at (316) 978-7592 to check the status of lost items.

Merchandise
The Shocker Store is located just inside the South Entrance, and across from the Ticket Lobby on the concourse level.  It offers a variety of Shocker novelty and souvenir items from the University Bookstore. 

Parking
Accessible Parking: Accessible parking for fans with disabilities is available on a first-come, first-served basis in the southwest lot of Koch Arena. Guests must display a state-issued accessible license plate or hangtag. Guests will also need to present a state-issued disabled ID card. For men’s basketball games, accessible parking is $10 per vehicle (cash only) and opens 3 hours prior to game time.
 
Open/General Parking: All lots not reserved for SASO or accessible parking for events can be used for open parking. Additional accessible parking is available in these lots.
 
Reserved Parking: The following lots are reserved for SASO members:
  • Volleyball: Lots immediately west and southwest of Charles Koch Arena
  • Women’s Basketball: Lot immediately west of Charles Koch Arena
  • Men’s Basketball: All lots immediately adjacent to Charles Koch Arena
Radio / Television
Hand-held radios are permitted so long as they do not disturb others seated nearby.  It is recommended to use headphones with these devices. All Men’s Basketball Shocker games are broadcast on KEYN 103.7 FM. For other radio and TV information, please check the schedule of each sport.

Re-Entry Policy
Wichita State Athletics has a NO RE-ENTRY policy for all athletic events. Guests who leave the building will NOT be permitted to re-enter without a valid game ticket.

Restrooms
Restrooms are located on the concourse level throughout the arena.
Family Restroom:  There is one family restroom located on the concourse level behind section 114. Section 124 houses a Lactation Room.

Security
  • Suspicious activity, disruptive patrons and guest related problems should be reported to security, event staff, or police officer immediately.                                                          
  • Uncooperative patrons showing disregard for other patrons, the arena or the teams may be ejected from the facility.
  • Ticket holders are responsible for their conduct as well as the conduct of their guests and/or person using the tickets.
  •  Spectators are reminded that they are prohibited from entering onto the court before, during, and after the playing contest unless they are properly credentialed or accompanied by an authorized staff member. Violators are subject to arrest.
  • You and your belongings may be searched upon entering the arena.
Metal Detectors: Wichita State is now using CEIA Open Gate metal detectors for events projected attendance over 5,000. Conceal-carry for those events would be prohibited. WSU-ICAA reserves the right to use metal detectors at any event.
 
Open gate detectors are designed to have persons walk through them with everything in their pockets and their clear bags or clutch (not exceeding 5.5” x 7.5”).
 
Medical Devices: Persons with implanted medical devices are safe to walk through open gate detectors. However, the choice will be up to the individual if they are uncomfortable with this process. If a fan does not want to walk through, they may proceed to a secondary screening location to be screened with a hand wand and have any bags checked.

Prohibited Items:  The following items are prohibited from entering Koch Arena:
  • Drugs and alcohol
  • Outside food and drink
  • Bags exceeding 5.5" x 7.5" (Purses, Diaper Bags, Backpacks, Duffle Bags, etc.)
  • Weapons – firearms, knives, razorblades, pepper spray, tasers, brass knuckles, etc.
  • Noisemakers – air horns, bells, megaphones, whistles, etc.
  • Laser pointers
  • Flash/professional photography, detachable lenses, monopods, tripods
  • Selfie sticks
  • Live animals (except service animals)
  • Large/Golf umbrellas (non-retractable)
  • Strollers, infant car seats, and/or baby carriers
  • Seat Cushions larger than 14” x 14” x 6”
  • Computers and tablets larger than 14” x 14” x 6”
  • Wichita State reserves the right to prohibit any other items deemed inappropriate by security.
 
If an item is revealed during a search, patron may dispose of the item or return it to their vehicle. Wichita State staff reserves the right to prohibit any items they deem inappropriate. 

Service Animals
Animals or pets of any kind are prohibited in Charles Koch Arena with the exception of service animals and/or service animals in-training. For guests with disabilities, service animals are welcome inside the venue, but must remain on a leash or in a harness at all times. Service animals shall rest in the seating area of the individual with a disability, rather than in the aisle. A guest whose service animal poses a threat to the safety of other guests and/or Charles Koch Arena employees may be asked to escort the animal off of the premises.

According to Kansas State Law, emotional support, comfort, or therapy animals do not have rights under the ADA and are prohibited entrance into any WSU Athletics’ facilities.

Shocker Lounge
During Men’s Basketball Games, all fans are encouraged to visit the Shocker Lounge, located inside the Aetna Multi-Purpose Gym (outside of section 119). Beer, wine and liquor will be available for purchase through halftime. Fans will have the opportunity escape the concourse traffic, relax at one of our several cocktail tables, and watch one of two flat screen TV’s.

Smoking / Tobacco-Free Policy
Wichita State is a tobacco free campus. No use of any tobacco products including, but not limited to, chewing tobacco, cigars, cigarettes, pipes, electronic cigarettes, vaporizers, hookah or other water pipe devices will not be allowed for use on university property.

Tailgating
Tailgating is not permitted in university lots without permission from Wichita State Athletics.
 
Tickets
General Information:  Anyone age three (3) and over must possess a valid ticket for entry into Charles Koch Arena. The Athletics Ticket Office is open from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. They will also be open at the time that doors open for each event. Wichita State Athletics' official secondary ticket partner is SeatGeek. Patrons assume all risks for tickets purchased through sources other than Wichita State Athletics Ticket Office. (i.e. Stub Hub, Ticket Master, etc.)
 
Away Game Tickets:  As a visiting team, Wichita State receives only a small allotment of tickets. Please contact the host institution ticket office for ticket availability.

General Admission / Student Seating: General admission seating is located in sections 116 & 117 and is shared with both the students and the band.
 
Group SalesGroup discounts are available for tickets to many Shocker events. Call (316) 978-3267 for more information.

Scalping / Resale of Game TicketsThe reselling of tickets (at any price) is NOT permitted on campus grounds. 

Student Tickets:  With the exception of Men’s Basketball games, WSU student tickets can be picked up at the ticket office at the time of the event, or when doors open.  For Men’s Basketball, the first 1,000 WSU students attending a basketball game will be admitted by presenting their valid Shocker ID, along with a student ticket that can be acquired on student ticket pick-up days.
 
Lost/Stolen Tickets:  Once received, season tickets which are lost, destroyed, or stolen can be replaced for $25 per ticket. If individual game tickets are simply lost, left at home, or damaged, there is a non-refundable $2.00 reprint fee per ticket.
