Biography

Career:

Enters 2011-12 as WSU’s active career leader in points scored (1,060), assists (286) and steals (119)... Is 17th in WSU history in points, 10th in 3-pt field goals (72), 11th in assists, and 23rd in steals.   


As a Junior in 2011-12:

Played in all 33 games, making 30 starts... Led team in scoring (13.3ppg), assists (84), FG% (.490), FT% (.839), 3pt field goals (33) and minutes (29.8)... First Team All-MVC... NetScouts.com All-MVC... MVC Scholar-Athlete Second Team... S.A.S.O. Scholar-Athlete of the Month for Feb... Became WSU’s 18th career 1,000-point scorer on March 3 vs. UNI... Scored double figures 28 times... Ranked 43rd in the NCAA in field goal percentage... Set career-highs with 52 steals and 11 blocked shots... Matched career-high with 22 points on 10-of-13 shooting in a Feb. 4 win at Drake... Added three more 20-point games down the stretch...  Led WSU to an opening-round WNIT win over Oral Roberts with 20 points (8-of-13 FG, 2-of-4 3-pt FG, 2-of-2 FT)on March 16 at Koch Arena... Named MVP of the 2011 Beach Classic after averaging 14.5 ppg and leading WSU to the tournament title... Netted career-best four (4) 3-pt field goals Nov. 14 vs. #21 LSU... Scored 20 points with five assists March 1 vs. Bradley... Also scored 20 on Feb. 10 at Missouri State...  Grabbed career-high eight rebounds with 10 points in double-overtime victory over Long Beach State on Dec. 19 to claim the 49ers’ holiday tournament championship. 

As a Sophomore in 2010-11:

Played in all 32 games, making 21 starts... Named WSU’s Athlete of the Week for Jan. 18 after leading the Shockers to a pair of wins over Indiana State and Illinois State...  Poured in season-high 21 points on 8-of-12 shooting (3-for-3 from 3-pt range) to lead WSU to first win at Drake since 2002... Scored double figures in five straight games from Feb. 4 through Feb. 17, during which she averaged 13.4 ppg... Shot 27.7% (18-for-65) in the first seven games of the year but connected on 39.5% (92-233) the rest of the year... Put in 18 points in season-opener vs. Arizona... Scored 14 points and matched career-high with eight assists in victory vs. Bradley (Feb. 6)... Scored 16 points with the help of 8-for-8 free throw shooting in a victory over Creighton in the MVC Tournament (March 11)... Ended the year with a team-high 18 points on 9-of-18 shooting in the WNIT at Kansas... Scored in double figures 15 times and led team in scoring seven times... WSU went 14-7 with Diamond in the starting lineup. 


As a Freshman in 2009-10:

Started seven games and played in all 33 contests... Named to the MVC All-Freshman Team... Earned MVC Newcomwer of the Week award for Jan. 25 after leading WSU to a road victory at Missouri State with 16 points on 7-of-12 shooting and seven assists... Second on the team in scoring (9.5) and assists (3.2)... Finished fourth among MVC freshmen in scoring... Put up a season-best 22 points (9-of-18 FG, 3-of-6 3-pt FG, 1-for-1 FT) in only her second career MVC game vs. Bradley (Jan. 2)... Nearly matched that effort with 21 points vs. Missouri State in the State Farm MVC Tournament (March 12)... Dished out season-best eight assists at Evansville (Jan. 28)... Scored in double figures 17 times, including her first four career contests... Led team in scoring seven times... With senior Marisah Henderson, became just the second pair of WSU teammates to each register 100+ assists in the same season since 1994-95.

Named to the Houston Girls Coaches Association All-Star Team ... Named a Greater Houston All-Area honorable mention selection ... Led the district and finished among the top 10 in the Greater Houston Area in assists (154) and steals (140) and was among the district and area leaders in three-point field-goal percentage (.456) as a senior ... A Texas Basketball Magazine Preseason all-state selection ... Averaged 11 points, 4.5 assists and 3.5 steals per game ... Helped lead the Lady Cougars to a 37-2 record as a senior, falling to Mansfield Summit in the Texas State Class 5A championship game ... Helped lead Aldine Nimitz to three-straight District 19-5A championships, becoming the first girl’s program in AISD history to make it to the state tournament in 2009 ... Selected a three-time Co-MVP with teammate Brittney Griner, 2009 Women’s Basketball Coaches Association State Farm National Player of the Year ... A McDonald’s High School All-America nominee ... An Honor Student at NHS, she ranked among the top 20 percent of her graduating class.
