Career Summary (2017-21):
Four-year walk-on appeared in 20 games and totaled four points and three assists in 37 minutes... Helped the Shockers to their first American Athletic Conference regular season title in 2021... Was part of two NCAA tournament teams (2018 & 2021) and an NIT semifinalist (2019)... Second-generation Shocker (his father, Ryan Herrs, played at WSU from 1992-96)... Scout team defensive stopper, described by teammates as tough, hard-working and utterly fearless… WSU was 19-1 in his 20 career games, with the lone loss coming to Mizzou early in his senior year... Twice made the AAC All-Academic Team (2018 & 2020).

2020-21 (Senior):
Saw time in four games during a COVID-shortened season... Logged an assist on senior day against South Florida (Mar. 6)... Played a career-high four minutes against Newman (Dec. 30) and recorded a rebound.
 
2019-20 (Junior):
Checked into seven games and totaled two points and a steal in 14 minutes... Scored his second career bucket in the closing minutes of the Nov. 19 win over Gardner-Webb… Made his season debut and played three minutes in the Nov. 16 victory against UT Martin and recorded his first steal… Qualified for the AAC All-Academic Team (3.00+ GPA during the 2019-20 school year).
 
2018-19 (Sophomore):
Was a valuable scout team contributor… Logged time in six games, totaling 14 minutes… Dished out an assist in the Feb. 6 win at ECU.
 
2017-18 (Freshman):
Appeared in three games off the bench and totaled two points and one assists in eight minutes… Hit his only shot attempt of the season – a fast break layup in the final minutes of a 112-66 win over Savannah State (Nov. 28)… Tallied his first career assist to cap a road win at ECU (Jan. 11). It was the last of 32 Shocker assists on the night, marking the highest total by a WSU team in more than 35 years... Qualified for the AAC All-Academic Team (3.00+ GPA for the 2017-18 school year).
 
High School:
2017 Andover High graduate… Two-time honorable mention all-league selection … Coached by Chad Wilmott… Two-time regional high jump champion and placed second at the state meet as a senior in 2017… Played summer basketball for Next Level Elite under coach Scott Baucom.
 
Personal:
Born May 16, 1999… Son of WSU alums Ryan Herrs and Tara Herrs Albin… Passed up opportunities at a handful of Kansas NAIA schools for a chance to walk-on at WSU and continue the family legacy… Father was a scholarship player for the Shockers from 1992-96 and ranks just outside WSU’s all-time top-10 with 140 three-pointers… General Business major.
