Biography


2018-19 (Junior):
  • Savvy point guard with tremendous court vision.
  • Appeared in all 37 games in 2018-19 with 10 starts after transferring from Missouri State-West Plains JC.
  • Posted 90 assists with just 37 turnovers for a 2.43 ratio.
  • Averaged 2.3 points, 1.8 rebounds and 2.4 assists in 15.2 minutes-per-game.
  • Went the entire month of November without a turnover, opening his Shocker career with 111 turnover-free minutes.
  • Excelled at creating for others but struggled with his long-range shooting, hitting just 4-of-45 threes, including 18-straight to open the year.
  • Led the team in plus-minus during American Athletic Conference play (+6.28 per-40-minutes).
Notable Performances:
  • Scored eight points in the season finale at Tulane (Mar. 9) on 3-of-6 shooting and had the game-winning assist on Dexter Dennis’ buzzer-beating corner three.
  • Banked seven assists(zero turnovers) in just 13 minutes at Tulsa (Feb. 20).
  • Career-high eight rebounds in 27 minutes against Temple (Jan. 6).
  • Career-high eight assists in 24 turnover free minutes at Memphis (Jan. 3).
  • Recorded his lone double-figure scoring game with 13 points against Southern Miss (Dec. 15 at INTRUST Bank Arena) and also dished out six assists.
  • Played a season-high 33 minutes in a home win over Jacksonville State (Dec. 12) and finished with seven points on 3-of-6 shooting. He hit his first three-pointer of the year early in the season half.
  • Committed his first turnover in second half of the season's seventh game against Baylor (Dec. 1) but atoned with four points and three assists in the victory.
  • Played 25 minutes in the Charleston Classic fifth-place game against Alabama (Nov. 18) and finished with four points, five assists (and no turnovers).
  • Started the season opener against Louisiana Tech (Nov. 6).
Junior College:
First Team NJCAA All-American and Region 16 Player of the Year in 2018 for Missouri State-West Plains… Averaged 17.2 points and ranked third nationally at 8.1 assists per game while carrying a 2.50-to-1 assist-to-turnover ratio… Led his team to a 25-9 record and a regional title…  Set the school’s single-game (16), single-season (268) and career (427) assists records… Averaged just over two three-pointers per game while connecting on just over 43 percent from deep… Presided over an offense that ranked 12thnationally in scoring (93.3 points) and eighth in field goal percentage (.520)… Had double-digit assist totals in 11 of his 33 games… Received MVP and Team Captain awards at the team’s postseason banquet… Averaged 11.2 points and 5.7 assists as a freshman in 2016-17… Received offers from several schools including SMU and Auburn.
