2018 : Outdoor - Competed in eight meets, including three top-three finishes in the javelin...Placed third at the Arkansas Spring Invitational (63.23m/207-5), Central Missouri Mule Relays (58.44m/191-9) and Shocker Open (63.76m/209-2)...Threw a personal best and the ninth farthest mark in school history 68.88m/226-0 to place fifth at th American Athletic Conference Outdoor Championships.

2017: Outdoor- Competed in nine meets, including six top five finishes in the javelin...Placed third at the Arkansas Spring Invitational (185-8/56.60m) and Texas Tech Red Raider Shoot-Out (199-6/60.80m)...Finished second at the MVC Outdoor Championship with a personal best of 210-11/63.25m...Finished 22nd at the NCAA West Preliminaries.
 
2016: Outdoor- Was fourth at the MVC Outdoor Championship with a javelin throw of 195-5/59.56m, a personal-best... Competed in eight meets with four top-10 finishes.

2015: Redshirted at UND before transferring to Wichita State for the 2015-16 season.

2014: Runner-up in the javelin throw at the NDSU Tune-Up with a mark of 180 feet (54.86 meters) … Won the javelin at the Ron Masanz Classic with a personal-best throw of 185-00 (56.38 meters).
 
High School: A 2013 graduate of Red River High School where he was a two-time state champion in the javelin and runner-up once... Also placed third at state in the discus... Lettered four times in track & field, basketball and football … Helped his basketball team to the state title, too... Placed 12th in the javelin at the 2013 USA Junior Outdoor Track and Field Championships with a throw of 54.48 meters.
 
Personal: Son of Jeff and Lisa Hoplin... Has brothers, Paul and Luke, and a sister Elisabeth... Dad and brother, Luke, played football at North Dakota and brother, Paul, competed in track and field at Minnesota... Also recruited by North Dakota... Majoring in Management.
