2019: Indoor - Opened the season finishing third in the Hawkeye Invitational shot put with a mark of 14.89m/48-10.25...Moved up to No. 8 on the Shocker all-time top-10 weight throw list on Jan. 18 finishing sixth with a toss of 16.36m/53-8.25 at the KU/KSU/WSU Triangular, also bettered her school record shot put mark finishing second with a mark of 15.61m/51-2.75...Won the Shocker Prelude shot put on Jan. 19 with a toss of 15.09m/49-6.25...Recorded her second season victory at the Air Force Invitational winning the shot put with a mark of 15.44m/50-8...Bettered her school record for a second time in the season winning the Arkansas Qualifier with a personal best mark of 15.72m/51-7...Earned all-conference honors finishing third at the American Athletic Conference Championships with a toss of 15.68m/51-5.5.
Outdoor - Competed in 10 meets, finishing as the top collegiate shot put thrower nine times...Opened the season with two top-5 finishes at the Herm Wilson Invitational, placed second in shot put (15.26m/50-0.75) and fourth in discus (49.13m/161-2)...Finished fourth at the 92nd Clyde Littlefield Texas Relays with a mark of 15.21m/49-11...Won the Friends University Spring Open with a meet record toss of 15.27m/50-1.25...Set a personal best discus mark of 50.32m/165-1 to finish seventh at the 92nd Kansas Relays, also placed second with a heave of 15.32m/50-3.25...Won the Texas Tech Corky/Crofoot Shootout with a mark of 15.52m/50-11...Finished with two first place finishes at the Shocker Open on May 3 bettering her school record in shot put (15.90m/52-2) and won discus (49.05m/160-11)...Won the American Athletic Conference shot put title with a mark of 15.66m/51-4.5, becoming the first female Shocker in 31-years to win a conference title (indoors or outdoors) in the women's shot put...Made NCAA West Regional appearances in the shot put (20th, 15.71m/51-6.5) and discus (41st, 47.12m/154-7)
2018: Indoor - Finished top-10 in all eight events she entered in...Won shot put at the Shocker Prelude (14.78m/48-6), Air Force Indoor Team Challenge (14.94m/49-0.25) and Herm Wilson Invitational (15.29m/50-2)...Finished second in the shot put at the KSU/KU/WSU Triangular (14.83m/48-8)...Placed fourth in the shot put at the American Athletic Conference Indoor Championships with a school record mark of 15.48m/50-9.5.
Outdoor - Competed in 10 meets...Finished fourth in the shot put (14.61m/47-11.25) at the Arkansas Spring Invitational and sixth in the shot put (15.17m/49-9.25) at the Clyde Littlefield Texas Relays...Won the K.T. Woodman Classic shot put (14.90m/48-10.75) and discus (46.27m/151-10)...Set a school outdoor record winning the Shocker Open shot put with a mark of 15.56m/51-0.75, also won the discus (47.95m/157-4)...Finished sixth in the shot put (15.46m/50-8.75) and 10th in the discus (46.15m/151-5) at the American Athletic Conference Outdoor Championships.
2017: Indoor - Won the shot put at five different meets, including Bill Easton Classic, Shocker Prelude, WSU/KSU/KU Triangular, Herm Wilson Invitational and Stever Miller Open...Earned all-valley honors finishing third in the shot put (47-8.5/14.54m) at the MVC Indoor Championships.
Outdoor - Set a personal best in the discus with a mark of 158-9/48.39m to finish sixth at the John Jacobs Invitational...Placed eighth with a personal best 146-8/44.71m in the hammer throw at the K.T. Woodman Classic...Had two first place finishes at the Shocker Open in the shot put (48-2.75/14.70m) and discus (156-7/47.72m).
2016: Indoor: Was seventh in the shot put at the Indoor MVC Championship in Cedar Falls, Iowa (47-0.75/14.33m)... Her weight throw best (48-6.75/14.80m) came at the Colligan Memorial in Nebraska. Outdoor:Â Placed sixth in the shot put and 14th in the discus at the MVC Championship in Terre Haute, Ind... Set her personal best in the shot at the MVC Championship (47-10.5/14.59m)... Discus best also came at the Valley Championship (138-5/42.19m).
2014-15:Â Redshirted but competed in seven events in indoor and outdoor meets... Discus best was 144-4/44.00m at the Woodman... Threw the hammer once at the Woodman (133-5/40.68m... Shot put best was 42-9 inside, and 42-2 outside... Weight throw best was 48-8.75/14.85m at the Herm Wilson...
High School: Attended Paola High School in Paola, Kan., where she competed in the shot put and discus throw... Her personal bests included: 44-8 in the shot put and 141-9 in the discus throw...Finished second in the 2014 Class 4A KSHSAA State Track and Field Meet in the shot put with a throw of 43-6 and in the discus with a throw of 129-2 as a senior…Was ninth, sixth and third her first three high school seasons in the shot at the state meet, and third and second in the discus as a sophomore and junior, respectively... Earned a second-place finish at the 2012 Kansas Class 4A discus throw, and a third place finish in 2011... She finished third in the 2013 shot put throw at the Class 4A KSHSAA State Track and Field Meet, and sixth in 2012... Lettered four years in track and field, and three in volleyball and basketball... Named All-Metro track and field, all-league all-Tri-County and to the Kansas/Missouri All-Star team in volleball and helped her team to state in basketball... Her sophomore year her track and field team was state champion and runner-up in her junior year... As a junior she helped her basketball team to runner-up honors... Academically, a member of National Honor Society and named to the Superintendnet's Honor Roll all four years.
Personal: Daughter of Mark and Beth Slawson... Has a brother, Alexander... Mom played college softball... Majoring in exercise science.
