2015 MVC Academic Honor Roll

2015 Cross Country- Placed 36th at the Midwest Regional with a 10K time of 31:07.5 and 19th at the MVC Championship with a 8K time of 24:48.2… Also finished 27th at the Chili Pepper with a time of 24:32.1.

2014-15: Cross Country- Paul paced the Shocker men when he finished 50th with a time of 31:02.6 at the NCAA Regional, capping off a strong season that included All-MVC honors when he placed 15th at the 2014 MVC Championships with a time of 24:47.07 in the 8k race... Raymond had two top-10 finishes on the year, including an eighth-place finish at the Woody Greeno/Nebraska XC Invitational and a fourth place at the 6k J.K. Gold Classic. Indoor- Ran 10 Indoor races, including two at the MVC Indoor Championship where he finished 12th in the 5,000 meters and 30th in the 3,000 meters... His fourth-place time of 2:34.19 at the Bill Easton was a personal best, as was his 300 meter time at the Mark Colligan of 8:26.72.  Outdoor- Finished third in the 10,000 at the MVC Outdoor Championship to get MVC honors and run a personal best 30:03.31... Also ran the 5,000 meters (15:04.95) and placed sixth to score for WSU at the MVC Championship... Won the John Jacobs 3000 meters in a time of 8:32.76, and finished all six Outdoor races he ran in the Top 7... His 5,000 time of 14:32.53 at the Rock Chalk was also a personal best.

2013-14: Cross Country- Ran five races for Wichita State as a sophomore, including the Valley Championship where he placed 63rd in a time of 27:43.6 in the 8K race ... High finish was 16th at the JK Gold Classic where he ran 20:21.8 in the 6K race ... Best 8K time was 25:18 at the Bradley Pink Classic. Indoor- Two personal bests at the SFA Skecher's Carl Kight Invitational; ran the 800M (1:56.44) and the 1500M (4:00.04). Competed in the 2014 MVC Indoor Track & Field Championships where he had a personal best of 8:34.22 in the 3000m, finished 11th.

At New Mexico State: Raymond transferred from New Mexico State, a WAC school where he finished in the top five during five of the eight races during his freshman year... Best finish came at the Kachina Classic when he finished 10th in a time of 26:03 in the 8K... Posted his best 8K time of the season at the Lobo Invitational when he ran a time of 20:30.7... Finished 72nd overall with a time of 32:19.1 in the 10K at the NCAA Mountain Regional Championships. 

ESC Theriault High School: Ran track and cross country from 2008-11 and also ran track and played badminton, basketball and was on the swimming team... Ran the 6K in 2008 and the 7K from 2009-11... Helped his team win the NEOAA championship in all four years, as well as third in the province in 2009, second in the province in 2008 and 2010 and first in the province in 2011... Is the junior school record holder and the 2012 SEOAA record holder for the 1,500m... Was also named to Team Ontario for the 800m and the 1,500m in 2010. 

Personal: Born in Scarborough, Ontario, Canada, and is the son of Reid and Lucie Raymond...Has one brother, Eric... Majoring in English-Creative Writing at WSU.
