Attended Canon City High School in Canon City, Colo...Lettered four years in baseball, three years in football and two years in basketball...In baseball, earned Most Valuable Player honors in high school as well as being named all-state twice...Named Player of the Year in 4A during senior season...Played in the Area Code Games in 2006...During junior season, went 9-2 with a 1.67 ERA and 107 strikeouts...During senior season, went 13-4 with a 1.69 ERA and 55 strikeouts.
