Attended Coppell High School in Coppell, Texas...Lettered three years in baseball and one year in football…Earned first team all-district honors and was named to the all-tournament team at the Baylor Medical Tournament…Went 4-2 with a 1.05 ERA and 30 strikeouts during senior season…List best performance against Keller Central, when he pitched seven shutout innings with seven strikeouts and zero walks…Member of team that was second in the district all four years and bi-district champions in 5A during freshman and sophomore seasons…Member of the National Honor Society, the Red Jacket Leadership Organization and the Principal’s Advisory Council.

Son of Scott and Alicia Gardner...Born Dec. 2, 1994, in Dallas, Texas…Has one brother, Kris, who also pitches for the Shockers…Is planning to major in marketing at WSU...Also recruited by Oral Roberts, Duke, Dartmouth, Brown and Wofford.
