As a Sophomore in 2011:
Named second team All-Missouri Valley Conference for her play at third base... Appeared in 53 of the Shockers' 57 games with 51 starts... Started 26 games at third base, nine at short, and 16 as the designated player... Hit .229 on the year with 30 hits, five doubles, 10 home runs, 20 RBI, and 27 runs scored in 131 at bats... She led the team with her 10 home runs and finished the season with a .496 slugging percentage... Led the Shockers' in conference play with eight home runs and 17 RBI... Hit .417 with five hits, one home run, one RBI, and four runs scored in 12 at bats for the Shockers in the Texas Tech Invitational... Finished the tournament with a .667 slugging percentage and .500 on-base percentage... Went 1-for-2 with one RBI and two runs scored and hit her second home run of the season against UTEP on March 4... Drew two walks and scored two runs in the win against Western Illinois on March 23... Hit her third home run of the season when she went 1-for-1, picked up two RBI, and scored a run against Indiana State on April 2... Hit her fourth home run of the season against Drake on April 9... Hit .500, scored four runs, picked up five RBI, and hit two home runs in the series sweep against Creighton on April 16-17... Went 1-for-2 and picked up an RBI in the win over #18 Oklahoma State... Went 4-for-7 in the series against Evansville and won Missouri Valley Play of the Week for her performance... Combined for three home runs and seven RBI in the doubleheader on April 22...Named to the AD's Honor Roll following the Fall Semester of 2010 and Spring Semester of 2011.
As a Freshman in 2010:
Appeared in all 53 games with 52 starts at shortstop... Hit .198 with 23 hits, six doubles, three homers, 14 RBI, and 19 runs scored... Finished the season with a .328 slugging percentage... Had two hits and scored two runs in four at bats against Tulsa... Hit two doubles and 3 RBI against Drake... Finished the season with 4 multi-hit and 3 multi-runs scored games... Second on the team with nine sac bunts... Recorded seven putouts against Indiana State... 5 assists against Memphis... Hit .240 in conference play with 12 hits, four doubles, two homers, seven RBI, and 10 runs scored... Named to the AD's Honor Roll following both the Fall 2009 and Spring 2010 semesters.
In High School:
Attended Derby High School in Derby, Kan… Played under head coach Christy Weve… Earned four letters in volleyball and softball, and two letters in basketball… Named all-state all four years along with being named Ark Valley Chisolm Trail League all-Division I all four years… Named to The Wichita Eagle all-Metro team in 2009… She was a three-time all-state selection by Rivals.com along with being named to the site’s starting nine in 2008… Led the Panthers to regional championships in 2006, 2007 and 2009 as well as a second place finish in the 6A championship in 2007… In addition she was an accomplished volleyball player, being named first-team all-AVCTL her sophomore, junior and senior seasons and owns three school records… Was a member of the National Honor Society, a Kansas Honor Scholar and Shocker Presidential Scholar.

Daughter of Joe and Lori Shook… Born July 5, 1991 as Sammie DeAnne Shook… Has two brothers, Jody and Tye… Her dad played college football and baseball… Plans to major in athletic training.
