Biography

As a Junior in 2010:
Appeared in all 53 games with 51 starts, 42 at catcher and nine as the designated player, for the Shockers... Named second team All-Missouri Valley Conference after leading the team with a .298 batting average... With 141 at bats she led the team with 42 hits, six homers, and 25 RBI... Scored 11 runs and hit four doubles on the season... Led the team with six multiple RBI games... Second on the team with a .454 slugging percentage and led the team with a .404 on base percentage... Led the team with 65 total bases and 23 walks... Defensively, she recorded a .993 fielding percentage...Finished second in the Valley with one runner picked off and fourth in the Valley with 13 caught stealing... Led the team with 258 putouts... Hit 5 RBI against Texas Southern... Had multiple three hit games against Boise State and Missouri State... Hit .265 in Valley play with 18 hits, three runs scored, one double, two homers, and nine RBI... Currently 3rd all-time with a career .322 batting average and .404 on base percentage... Defensively, her .996 career fielding percentage ranks at the top of the team's all-time list... 2nd all-time with four career pickoffs... 5th all-time with 949 putouts... Currently 7th with 31 caught stealing... Named second-team All-Missouri Valley Conference.

As a Sophomore in 2009:
Started 52 for the Shockers with 50 starts at catcher and two as the designated player… Named first team All-Missouri Valley Conference after hitting .353 with three homers and 25 RBI… She had five doubles and one triple included in her team-high 55 hits… Tied for second on the team with 20 walks and led the team with a .424 on-base percentage… Ranked in the MVC top-10 in batting average, on-base percentage and hits… Opened the year with an 11-game hitting streak that dated back to the previous season… Had a career-high with three hits against Oregon and Indiana State… Recorded 16 multi-hit and seven multi-RBI games… Hit a team-leading .372 in MVC games… Hit all three of her homers in MVC play and finished with 11 RBI in MVC games… Defensively her .993 fielding percentage was tops among regular starters and she finished with 257 putouts, 19 assists and just two errors… Her career .997 fielding percentage is tops in school history… Her career .333 batting average and .404 on-base percentage both rank third in school history… Named to the Fall 2008 AD’s Honor Roll.

As a Freshman in 2008:
Played in 60 games with 57 starts at catcher for the Shockers in 2008... Her .314 batting average was good for second on the team and her 26 RBIs ranked third...Had nine doubles which was also good for third on the team... Her 50 hits were tops among freshman in the Missouri Valley Conference... Hit her first collegiate homerun, a three-run shot, at Missouri State on April 2... Led the team with a .404 average with runners in scoring position and led the team with 14 two-out RBI... Was the toughest to strikeout of the everyday starters with just 20 on the season... Led the team in sacrifice hits with 16... Threw out nine would-be base stealers and recorded two pickoffs... Recorded a perfect fielding percentage with 434 putouts and 19 assists in 453 chances... Her .384 on-base percentage ranked second on the team... Third on the team with 13 multiple hit games and six multiple RBI games... Hit .294 in 26 MVC games... Named to the Fall 2007 AD’s Honor Roll.

Attended Cypress (Calif.) High School... Played under head coach Lisa Falt... Lettered four years in both softball and basketball... Earned CHS Athlete of the Year honors as a senior... Named Cypress High School MVP in softball and basketball three times... Earned all-conference honors in both sports all four years... Batted over .400 as a sophomore, junior, and senior... Helped 16U team Cal Explosion win the ASA National title... Earned all-academic honors all four years... Recipient of the Army and Navy Scholar-Athlete Award.
