Biography

As a Junior (2007):
Started 64 games for the Shockers, 59 of which came at shortstop with five starts and 14 appearances in the circle... Named a first team all-Missouri Valley Conference shortstop for the third-straight season, becoming the second Shocker softball player in school history to earn three-straight first team honors... Led the team and finished ninth among MVC players with a .348 average at the plate... Topped the squad and finished second among MVC players with 39 runs scored and 72 hits, finishing second on the school’s all-time single season list in both categories... Finished second on the team with a career-best 35 RBI... Set a WSU single-season record with 117 total bases... Posted 14 doubles on the season, and became WSU’s all-time career leader in doubles with 42... Her 207 at bats is tied for third on the school’s single-season list... Hit a team-high .327 in conference action... Led the team with a .400 average in the MVC Tournament... Led the squad with 18 multiple-hit games and was second on the squad with eight multiple-RBI contests... Finished the season on a nine-game hitting streak... Hit .423 against left-handed pitchers and batted .377 with two outs, tying for the team lead with 14 two-out RBI... Went 4-4 in 58.0 innings worked in the circle, finishing the season with a 3.62 ERA and one save, moving into a tie for third on WSU’s all-time saves list with her fifth career save... Moved into third on the all-time runs scored list, second on the all-time highest slugging percentage list, fourth on the all-time highest batting average list, fifth on the all-time home runs list and fourth on the all-time total bases list... Had a season-best three RBI in a 2-for-4 effort at the plate against McNeese State on Feb. 10... Recorded a season-high three hits on seven occasions, the last coming in a 3-for-3 effort at UMKC on April 18... Selected to the Louisiana Classics All-Tournament Team... Named to the preseason all-conference team.

As a Sophomore (2006):
Started all 58 games for the Shockers in 2006, spending time as both a shortstop and a pitcher... Selected a first team all-Missouri Valley Conference shortstop... Named to the State Farm Missouri Valley Conference All-Tournament Team after hitting three home runs and two doubles, while recording a win and a save in the circle... Led the team with a .320 batting average, which ranked 15th among MVC players... Posted the 10th best slugging percentage (.556) among conference players... Led the team and ranked sixth in the conference with 38 runs scored, which tied the third-best single-season mark in school history... Recorded a team-high 57 hits, which ranked second among conference players and the ninth most in WSU single-season history... Recorded a team-high 30 RBI, which ranked ninth among Valley players... Posted a team-best 15 doubles, tied for the second-best mark in school history and second among conference players... Finished among the conference top 10 in triples (t-3rd - 3) and home runs (t10th - 7), tying the eighth best single-season home run mark in school history... Her 99 total bases were tied for fourth among Valley players and tied for the third-most bases in school history... Led the team with 18 multiple-hit games and seven contests with multiple RBI... Tied for the team high with 11 two-out RBI... Hit .327 against right-handed pitchers... Went 14-9 with a 2.41 ERA in 27 appearances in the circle... Posted 113 strikeouts in 142.1 innings worked... Recorded four shutouts and three saves, tied for the third-most in Shocker history... Started 22 games in the circle and posted 14 complete games... Posted a team best 4.7 strikeout-to-walk ratio... Recorded a career-high 11 strikeouts twice, the last coming against Drake in the MVC Tournament on May 11... Posted complete-game shutouts against Rhode Island, Northern Colorado, Evansville and Creighton... Honored as a SASO Student-Athlete of the Game at a men's basketball contest... Named to both the AD's Honor Roll and the Dean's Honor Roll for the Spring 2006 semester.

In the NCAA Tournament (2005):
Started both games of the 2005 NCAA Norman Regional at shortstop for the Shockers... Had two hits in seven plate appearances, including an RBI double while also scoring a run.

As a Freshman (2005):
Started every game in 2005, 59 of which came at shortstop, while starting five games at pitcher... Named a first-team all-Missouri Valley Conference selection... Hit .284 with 55 hits, 13 doubles, three home runs and 20 RBI... Went 2-2 with a 2.52 ERA in the circle with one shutout and 28 strikeouts and 33.1 innings of work... Pitching losses came to NCAA Tournament participants Nebraska and Oklahoma State... Tied for second in the conference in doubles, and led all Valley players with 194 at-bats... Finished sixth among conference players with 55 hits... Was 7-for-9 in stolen base attempts, and fielded .973 as a freshman shortstop, making just one error in conference play... Finished second on the squad with two triples... Hit .313 in the State Farm MVC Championship with a home run and three RBI, along with a team-high 10 total bases... Hit .330 with runners on base... Third on the team with 12 multiple-hit games and also record three games with multiple RBI... Posted a season-best six game hitting streak from April 17-27... Went 3-for-4 with four RBI against Drake on April 30... Went 2-for-3 against Nebraska on March 11... Named to both the AD’s Honor Roll and the Dean’s Honor Roll for both the Spring and Fall 2005 semesters.

In High School:
Attended Centennial High School in Peoria, Ariz... Played for head coach Bart Underwood... Earned four letters in softball... Named a first team all-region selection in the outfield and as a pitcher... Named all-region second team at shortstop... Hit .563 in her high school career... Pitched four perfect games as a high school player... Helped lead her team to a second place finish in the state tournament as a junior... Graduated with a 3.5 GPA.
