2011 JUNIOR

Played summer ball for the Falmouth (Mass.) Commodores.

2010 SOPHOMORE

Played in 41 games with 26 starts, 21 at catcher, four at third base and one as the designated hitter...Hit .291 with 17 runs, 32 hits, nine doubles, on home run and 25 RBI...Had a seven-game hitting streak from March 31-April 11...Had seven multiple-hit games and four multiple-RBI games...Had a season-high three hits against Tabor on March 31...Had a season-high five RBI against Evansville on April 4...Went 2-for-5 with five RBI and a grand slam against Evansville on April 4...Went 2-for-3 with three RBI and two doubles against Bethany on April 21...Went 2-for-4 with a double against Southern Illinois on April 11.

2009 FRESHMAN

Played in 57 games with 56 starts, 42 at third base, seven as the catcher and seven as the designated hitter...Hit .261 with 34 runs, 52 hits, 11 doubles, one triple, five home runs, 35 RBI and three stolen bases...Had two five-game hitting streaks...Had 14 multiple-hit games and nine multiple-RBI games...Had a season-high three hits against Arkansas-Pine Bluff on March 17 and Oral Roberts on May 5...Scored a season-high four runs against Arkansas-Pine Bluff on March 17...Had a season-high three RBI six times...Went 2-for-3 with three RBI and two doubles against North Dakota State on March 1...Went 2-for-4 with three RBI against Long Beach State on March 21...Went 2-for-4 with two RBI and a home run against Illinois State on April 4.

Son of Charlie and Traci O'Brien...Born July 24, 1989, in Milwaukee, Wis...Has two sisters, Alisha and Andi, and one brother Cameron...Father Charlie O'Brien played for the Shockers and in the Major Leagues...Uncle Erik Sonberg played baseball for the Shockers...Is majoring in communications at WSU...Also recruited by Georgia and Arizona State.
