As a Junior...In the fall, Wakim defeated Kate Goff of Kansas 6-2, 7-5 in the consolation round of the KU Invitational.

As a Sophomore...Posted a 6-23 singles record and a 4-16 doubles record...defeated Mikele Smith 6-3, 4-6- 10-6 on March 7...defeated Brigitte Graf of Bradley 6-0, 6-2 on April 23.

As a Freshman…Wakim made the most of her time on the court in her rookie campaign, posting a 1-0 singles record and a 1-1 doubles mark…Playing in the pro-set format, Wakim blanked Newman’s Danielle Drouhard, 8-0…Racked up another shutout with doubles partner Anna Egorova against Drouhard and Emily Gerber of Newman, 8-0.

Before WSU: Earned Greater Wichita Athletic League (City League) doubles champioinships in 2007 and 2008, while earning City League runner-up honors in 2005...Claimed third place in City League singles in 2006...Three time 6A Regional Medalist, twice in doubles and once in singles...Three-time medalist at Kansas 6A State Championships...Off the court, participated in drama at Northwest HS, where she served as a student director and performed in several musicals and plays...Was a commencement speaker for the Northwest HS Class of 2008.
