As a Senior: Posted an 8-14 record but played all of his matches in the No. 1 position...Paired with Guillermo Nicol they posted a 7-4 record in doubles...Marinescu was selected to the MVC All-Select team.

In the fall, defeated Grant Fleming of UMKC 6-3, 6-3 at the ITA Regionals...lost a tough match to Chris Kearney of UC-Irvine 6-0, 6-3 at the All-Americans...paired with Valentin Mihai they were defeated by Warden/Formentra (OU) 8-6 at the All-Americans.

As a Junior: Posted a 15-15 singles overall record and a 18-10 doubles record...Went 4-1 in the MVC his only defeat was by Drake's James McKie, 4-6, 3-6...teamed with Adrian Chermaci a majority of the spring in doubles...In conference play he was 4-1 in doubles there only defeat to Illinois State's Tim Reichelt and Matej Zlatkovic 6-8...earned MVC All Select honors.

As a Sophomore: Posted a 12-8 singles overall singles record and a 4-1 record in conference play, which included one unfinished match…Competed in the No. 1 position for all but three matches in both singles and doubles…Tallied a 14-9 overall doubles record and a 5-1 mark in conference with partner Adrian Chermaci…Defeated Vegerd Veskimagi of #67 Pacific, 6-4, 6-4…Teamed up with Chermaci to top Marko Ballok and Ross Cunningham of #29 Tulsa, 8-5…Defeated #67 Pacific’s Artem Gramma and Ryan Kim, 8-5…Only conference doubles loss came against Southern Illinois, 7-9.

As a Freshman (University of Oklahoma): Posted a 6-13 record splitting time at No. 3, No. 4 and No. 5 singles for the Sooners...Defeated Minnesota's Chi Pham 6-2, 6-4....Ended season on a high note with a 6-4, 6-3 win over Fresno State's Dennny Fafek....Posted a 7-6 record in doubles play, spending time playing with three different doubles partners.
