Box Score LINCOLN, Neb. – Three newcomers made their Shocker debuts at the Husker Invitational over the weekend.

Wichita State faced competition from Iowa State, Minnesota, Denver, Missouri, Kansas, and Nebraska in singles and doubles.

Dinara De Silva opened her Shocker career with a 2-0 record in singles, leading the Shockers in victories over the weekend. De Silva defeated KU's Polina Koneva, 6-3, 5-7, 6-2, and Simryn Jacob, 6-2, 6-1.

Alongside De Silva, Alina Vysochenko also made her Shocker debut, finishing 1-2 in singles.

The Shockers will take the upcoming weekend off before returning to action Oct. 14-19 at the ITA Central Regional Championships.
