WICHITA, Kan. - Wichita State head men's basketball coach Paul Mills announced the promotion of Dusan Vicentic to assistant coach Wednesday afternoon.

Vicentic joined the Shocker men's basketball program in 2025 as a graduate assistant. Prior to the move to Wichita, Vicentic spent five years playing professionally overseas with stops in Greece, Slovakia and Japan.

"Dusan has made an immediate impact on our program since he arrived here a year ago," Mills said. "He was exceptional in his player development role for us last season and he will continue to improve in that role. He brings a modern approach to the game on both sides of the ball. He gets stuff done at a high level and with an energetic demeanor. I'm excited about Dusan and the value he adds. He is an innovative teacher and our players will benefit from his devotion to elevating our team."

His final two stops playing professionally came in Greece. He averaged 17.6 points and 11.7 rebounds in 2023-24 for BC Anagennisi Arkalochori and followed that season as the National League 1 scoring leader in 2024-25 with Hermes Argiroupolis. Vicentic shot 42.9 percent from three-point range to go with 23.4 points and 8.7 rebounds.

The Belgrade, Serbia native played his college basketball at West Virginia Wesleyan. As a senior he averaged 16.8 points and 8.5 rebounds, while earning Moutain East Conference First Team All-Conference honors. He graduated from West Virginia Wesleyan in 2020 with a bachelor's degree in economics and business administration.
