WICHITA, Kan. – For a second-straight week, the Wichita State women's tennis team was ranked No. 24 in the Intercollegiate Tennis Association top 75 rankings on Tuesday morning.
After defeating Oral Roberts 7-0 on Sunday, Wichita State improved to 10-3 on the season and won its eighth match in a row. Tuesday's No. 24 ranking marked the first time since 2018 that the Shockers have been in the top 25 for multiple weeks in a season.
The Shockers remain the highest-ranked American Conference team. Charlotte at No. 31 and Rice at No. 55 join Wichita State in the ITA top 75 from the American Conference.
Wichita State has a pair of wins over current top 40 teams in Iowa (No. 34) and SMU (No. 30). The Shockers' eight-match win streak matches the longest for the Shockers since 2017.
Wichita State has the week off from matches and returns to action on the road against UTSA on Friday, March 6.
