2/19/2026 11:43:00 AM

WICHITA, Kan. – The Wichita State women's tennis team was ranked No. 24 in the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) top 75 rankings on Wednesday morning.

The No. 24 ranking is the highest for the Shockers since Mar. 6, 2018, when they were ranked No. 23. Wichita State owns wins over two other ranked teams: SMU (No. 23) and Iowa (No. 37).

The Shockers are the highest-ranked American Conference team, with three other league members also in the rankings. Rice is No. 41, Charlotte is No. 43 and Florida Atlantic is No. 72.

In addition to the team ranking, Wichita State's Giorgia Roselli and Xin Tong Wang are ranked No. 9 in doubles, breaking their own record for the highest doubles ranking in program history.

The pairing has an overall record of 15-6 and is 5-1 in the dual season. They hold six wins against pairings currently ranked and have not lost to a doubles team outside the current top 60.

Wang also earned a singles ranking for the first time in the dual season, coming in at No. 113. It marks her 13th career singles ranking, the third most in Shocker history. She only trails Fatima Bizhukova (17) and Lutfiana Budiharto (22) for most all-time.

The Shockers are 9-3 this season, have won their last seven matches and have secured six victories over Power Four opponents. The seven-match winning streak is their longest since 2017, and the six Power Four wins are their most since 2018.

Wichita State hosts Oral Roberts on Feb. 21 before a two-week break from matches.
