Wichita State bowlers Aleesha Oden and Olivia Lizzi get fans ready for the start of the season in October. We discuss how coach Holly Harris uses last season's NCAA runner-up finish as a coaching tool and Oden's favorite moment from that run.

Lizzi talks about growing up in a prominent bowling family, choosing a rival school and how her mom pointed out bad body language. We also talk about road-trip snacks, advice for young athletes and favorite TV shows.

WSU starts its season with a scrimmage on Oct. 16 and the Mid-States Championship on Oct. 17-18 at Bowlero Northridge, which serves as an exhibition tournament. The Shockers starts NCAA play  at Destination Orlando in Orlando starting Oct. 30.

WSU returns three All-Americans – Oden, Sara Duque Jimenez, Ashytn Woods. Four seniors, two juniors and two sophomores are on the roster from that team that went 79-36 and won the NCAA Arlington Regional. The Shockers defeated third-seeded Arkansas State and second-seeded Vanderbilt before losing to top seed Jacksonville State in the NCAA title match.

Aleesha is a senior from Council Bluff, Iowa. Olivia is a freshman from Sandusky, Ohio.
