WICHITA, Kan. — Wichita State women's tennis head coach
Jacob Eddins announced the signings of Lina Soussi and Dinara De Silva on Tuesday afternoon.

"We are thrilled to welcome Dinara and Lina to our team next fall," said Eddins. "Both bring valuable international experience and a strong desire to continue developing at the highest level."

Soussi will come to Wichita State as the top-rated player in Tunisia, with a Universal Tennis Rating (UTR) of 9.2. She has competed in high-level tournaments across Africa, including the 250K Jasmine Open, and represented Tunisia in the 2025 Ladies Billie Jean King Cup, where she achieved a 7-1 record across both doubles and singles.

She was a doubles finalist and semifinalist in two International Tennis Federation (ITF) 25K events in 2025.

De Silva joins Shocker Nation rated as the No. 1 singles player in Sri Lanka. She currently holds a UTR of 9.3 and represented Sri Lanka at the 2025 Billie Jean King Cup. She owns a career-high ITF junior ranking of No. 396. She has won five J30 tournaments, along with the 2025 J100 Kuala Lumpur doubles title.

"Lina and Dinara are outstanding competitors and exceptional people," said Eddins. "They will be a perfect fit for the program we are continuing to build here at Wichita State."
