In doubles, competition was fierce on all three courts. Kristina Kudryavtseva and Sati Aubakirova struck first, battling to win 7-5 at No. 3 to give the Shockers the advantage.

The Beach was poised to take No. 1, but Tatyana Nikolenko and Xin Tong Wang fought off a 5-1 deficit to remain on the court, forcing a tie break at 6-all.

Anne Knuettel and Vichitraporn Vimuktananda secured a 7-5 victory at No. 2 doubles to clinch the point for the Shockers. Wang and Nikolenko's match went unfinished, up 6-4 in the tiebreak.
