WICHITA, Kan. - Wichita State men's basketball has a complete 2025-26 schedule with the announcement of the American Conference 18-game schedule, the league revealed Thursday morning.

A pair of road trips open the league slate, beginning with UAB on New Years Eve and Charlotte three days later on Jan. 3. Wichita State's American home opener will see the Rice Owls visit the Roundhouse on Jan. 7. After North Texas comes to Charles Koch Arena on Jan. 11, the Shockers head back out on the road with a Florida swing trip against Florida Atlantic (Jan. 15) and South Florida (Jan. 18). Back-to-back home games vs. East Carolina (Jan. 21) and Memphis (Jan. 24) round out the month of January.

February kicks off with a road test at Tulsa on Feb. 1. Home games in the month include Charlotte (Feb. 4), South Florida (Feb. 11), Tulsa (Feb. 14) and Temple (Feb. 21). The Shockers will once again be on the road on Super Bowl Sunday, at Tulane (Feb. 8). Remaining away contests include East Carolina (Feb. 18), Memphis (Feb. 26) and UTSA (March 1).

The regular season finale will see Florida Atlantic in the Roundhouse on March 7.

Beginning this season, the 2026 American Men's Basketball Championship will feature the top 10 teams in a new five-day bracket format. The No. 1 and No. 2 seeds will advance directly to the semifinals, while the No. 3 and No. 4 seeds will maintain byes to the quarterfinals. The No. 5 and No. 6 seeds will receive byes to the second round. The 2026 Championship will run Wednesday through Sunday, March 11-15 at the Legacy Arena at the BJCC in Birmingham, Ala.

Prior to the regular season opener on Nov. 4, fans have a few opportunities to see the team in action. Shocker Madness is right around the corner on Oct. 4 at 6 p.m. A week later, the Shockers welcome Drake to Charles Koch Arena for a charity scrimmage on Oct. 11 at 1 p.m. The charity scrimmage is not included in the season ticket package, instead is a general admission event with proceeds going to two local charity organizations. All tickets are $20.
