WICHITA – Wichita State head women's basketball coach Terry Nooner completed his 2025-26 roster with the signing of Karys Washington.
 
The 5-foot-10 junior guard joins the Shockers after spending her first two years at Coffeyville Community College.
 
"Karys is our final addition to the roster, and she brings that Kansas toughness with her from Coffeyville Community College," Nooner said. "What really jumps out is her motor. She just plays so hard every possession."
 
As a sophomore, Washington averaged 11.1 points and 7.9 rebounds per game, starting 30 of 31 games for the Red Ravens. She was named First Team All-Kansas Jayhawk Community College Conference and finished the season ranked eighth in the conference in offensive rebounds with 63. As a freshman, she averaged 7.6 points and 5.5 rebounds for the Red Ravens.
 
"She's tough, relentless and exactly the kind of competitor we need," Nooner said. "Shocker Nation is going to love how she lays it all out on the line."
