WICHITA, Kan. -- The Wichita State cheer team set their date for their summer elementary cheer camp at Charles Koch Arena.
 
The date for elementary school cheer camp is June 28 from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM and 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM, with a hour break for rest and lunch. Warmup is slated to begin at 9:15 AM. Attendees are required to bring their own sack lunch for the day.
 
The camp will consist of cheers, chants, dances, stunt & jump clinics, games, and crafts, with a skills showcase and routines at the end of the day. The showcase begins at 3:15 PM and doors open for the event at 3:00 PM.
 
The camp is open to kids in kindergarten through fifth grade and to both teams and individuals.
 
The cost will be $65 per athlete and includes the cost of a camp t-shirt.
 
Timeline of Events:
8:30 AM – Attendee check-in opens
9:00 AM – Check-in closes; morning camp session begins
12:00 PM – Morning session finishes
12:00 PM – 1:00 PM – Break/lunch
1:00 PM – Second session begins
3:00 PM – Doors open for showcase
3:15 PM – Showcase begins
4:00 PM – Camp ends
