WICHITA, Kan. – The Wichita State men's tennis team fell to the No. 50 Memphis Tigers on Friday afternoon at Genesis Rock Road, 4-1.

Doubles was a tight battle, with Memphis breaking through first with a 6-2 win at court one over
Arenui Luethi and
Alejandro Jacome, but
Kristof Minarik and
Ilias Worthington held on to win 6-4 at court three, leaving doubles to be decided at court two by
Vanja Hodzic and
Luke Bracks.

It was tight, but the Shocker pair ultimately fell 7-5, giving Memphis the opening point.

In singles, the Shockers struck first, with Hodzic claiming a decisive 6-4, 6-1 win at court three to tie the match at 1-1.

Unfortunately, that was all the scoring for the Shockers, as Minarik fell 6-4, 6-2 at court one, and Worthington fell 7-6 (5), 6-2 at court four, putting Memphis up 3-1.

A tight 7-6 (6), 6-4 loss by
Amir Milushev at court five clinched and ended the match with 4-1 score in favor of Memphis.
