WICHITA – Wichita State head cross country coach Kirk Hunter announced the 2024 cross country schedule, including two meets at the Shockers' home course, Monday afternoon.
 
Wichita State is set to host the 76^th Annual JK Gold Classic on Saturday, Sept. 7 at Clapp Cross Country Course starting at 8 a.m. The remainder of the regular season consists of the season opener Terry Masterson Twilight Classic at Hutchinson CC on Aug. 30, the Gans Creek Classic hosted by Missouri on Sept. 27, and the Bradley Pink Classic in Peoria, Ill. on Oct. 18.
 
The Shockers will host their second American Athletic Conference Cross Country Championship on Saturday, Nov. 2 at Clapp Cross Country Course after hosting the 2020 AAC Championship in February of 2021 at 4 Mile Creek Resort.
 
Postseason racing will continue on Nov. 15 at the NCAA Midwest Regional in Peoria, Ill. where the Shockers will look to qualify for the NCAA Championships on Nov. 23 in Madison, Wisc.
