SHOCKER NOTES
  • The 2024 campaign is the 15th for the Shockers under the guidance of Colin Foster.
  • The Shockers (12-9) enter the match having won two of their last three matches but are 5-5 in their last ten.
  • Wichita State is 3-1 at neutral sites this season and 1-1 playing in Texas. 
  • The Shocker roster is made up of five returners and three international additions in Giorgia Roselli, Anne Knuettel, and Xin Tong Wang.
  • In the fall, freshman Wang advanced to the semifinals of both singles and doubles at the Fighting Illini open in Champaign, Illinois on Nov. 9
  • In team action in the fall, Roselli and sophomore Kristina Kudryavtseva tied for the team lead in singles wins with five each.

SHOCKERS AT THE AAC TOURNAMENT
 
  • Since joining the American in 2018, Wichita State is 2-5 at the AAC Tournament.
  • The Shockers have lost four-straight matches at the AAC Tournament.
  • Wichita State is 2-3 in the opening round of the Tournament.
  • This will be the second time the Shockers have been the 7-seed in the Tournament.
 
DOUBLES NUMBERS
  • The duo of Wang and Natsumi Kurahashi lead the Shockers in doubles wins with 14 and they are 8-2 in their last ten.
  • The Shockers have won 14 doubles points this season.
  • Wichita State is 11-3 in matches this year when winning the doubles point and 1-6 when they don't.
