Women’s Tennis Tabbed as 7-Seed in AAC Championship

IRVING, Texas – The Wichita State women's tennis team has been named the No. 7 seed in the upcoming American Athletic Conference Championship, which begins on April 17 at SMU's Styslinger/Altec Tennis Complex in Dallas, Texas.
 
The No. 74 Shockers (12-9) have earned a bye in the opening round and will face off with the No. 10 seeded Tulsa Golden Hurricane (11-11) on Thursday at 3:00 PM Central. 
 
It's the second consecutive season the Shockers have faced off with Tulsa in the opening round of the Championship and will be the second meeting between the Shockers and Golden Hurricane this season.
 
The winner will advance to face off with the No. 2 seed and currently 43rd ranked Charlotte 49ers in the quarterfinals on Friday at 3:00 PM Central.

The championship match will begin on Sunday at noon Central and will be aired on ESPN+.
