WICHITA - Wichita State's
Salese Blow was named the American Athletic Conference Freshman of the Week for the second time this season, the conference announced Monday afternoon.
The freshman from Murphy, Texas put up a team-high 24 points against SMU, shooting 6-for-18 from the field, hitting three three pointers and shooting a perfect 9-for-9 from the line. Blow hit her second buzzer beater of the year, draining a three as time expired to send the game to overtime.
Three days later, she scored a game-high 18 points against UTSA, shooting 7-for-14.
Blow has led Wichita State in scoring 12Â times this season and is averaging 12.1 points per game.
Blow and the Shockers head to Birmingham, Ala. for their regular-season finale against UAB on Tuesday, March 5 at 6 p.m.
