Wichita State (7-3) closed out the weekend 4-1 in Fayetteville, sweeping both games with the Redbirds.

After striking out 15 against No. 15 Arkansas on Friday, Barber followed that performance with a new school record 16 on Sunday.
Barber appeared in three games over the weekend, striking out 33 hitters across 15.0 innings.
Taylor Sedlacek had a big day at the plate, going 2-for-3 with a home run, two RBI and three runs scored.

Lainee Brown drove in a run on a single and double.
Bailey Urban doubled and drove in a run,

Wichita State extended its lead to six in the third on an Illinois State error, Seaton RBI single and a Wong hit by pitch.
Barber went 4.0 perfect innings until the fifth. Three straight walks to start the top of the fifth followed by an RBI single broke up the no-hitter.
Back-to-back RBI doubles in the sixth from Urban and Brown had the Shockers on the brink of a run-rule, but
Madyson Espinosa was thrown out at home trying to score from second on Tallent's single to left.
Entering the seventh inning, with 13 strikeouts, Barber proceeded to strike out the side to set the new school record with 16 punch-outs.
