WICHITA, Kan. -- The Wichita State Cheerleading team has announced they will be hosting a summer cheer camp locally for Jr High and High School cheerleaders and teams.  
 
The Shocker summer cheer camp will span two days from June 1st through June 2nd and is open for individuals, groups, and teams to sign up. 
 
The Shocker cheer camp is a dynamic and inclusive event designed to enhance skills, foster teamwork, and promote school spirit. The camp is open to Jr High and High Schoolers and is an opportunity for teams in the greater Wichita area to attend camp locally, save money, while also receiving exposure to WSU cheer and instruction from collegiate cheerleaders.  
 
The camp is hosted on the campus of Wichita State University in Charles Koch Arena. The cost for the event is $200 per athlete. 
 
The camp includes learning different cheers/ chants, stunts, a dance and a personalized 45-second game day timeout. 
 
Attendees will need to fill out both the waiver for the event and will need to fill out the registration link which can be found HERE. 
 
The Wichita State cheer team is committed to providing a safe, enjoyable, and rewarding experience for all attendees. 
 
Payments for the cheer camp must be made before May 6, 2024, in order to secure a spot. Payment can be made via a check made out to "WSU-ICAA" with "Cheer Camp" written in for reason/section. The check can be mailed to Wichita State Athletics at 1845 Fairmount Street, Box 18, Wichita, KS, 67260 or payment can be made via Venmo to @WichitaStateCheerleading. Refunds for this camp will not be granted after May 18th, 2024.
