WICHITA, Kan. – The Wichita State men's tennis team fell in another competitive match at home, falling to the Roadrunners of UTSA on Sunday afternoon at Genesis Rock Road, 4-2.

The Shockers (2-6) have now lost three consecutive matches while UTSA (4-5) breaks their three-match losing streak with the win.

For the third straight match, the Shockers' lost the doubles point, with duos of
Misha Kvantaliani and
Richey King losing 6-3 at court one and
Alejandro Jacome and
Vanja Hodzic losing 6-2 at court two.

Once again, it was
Misha Kvantaliani winning first in singles, this time winning 6-4, 6-2 at court two to tie the match at 1-1.

Vanja Hodzic won next at court three, 6-4, 6-3 to give the Shockers a 2-1 lead.

The lead was brief for the Shockers, as UTSA earned near simultaneous defeats of
Richey King and court six and
Luke Bracks at court five to take a 3-2 lead.

The Roadrunners would clinch the match with a win over
Marcelo Sepulveda at court four, 6-1, 7-5.

The Shockers return to the competition scene next week when they travel to Des Moines, Iowa to face Drake on February 23 at 10:00 AM.
