The Wichita State women's tennis team heads back on the road for a pair of matches in the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex, the first on Thursday against the UT-Arlington Mavericks at 2:00 PM.

SHOCKER NOTES
- The 2024 campaign for the Shockers is their 15th under the guidance of Head Coach Colin Foster.
- The Shockers (4-2) enter the match after a close victory at home against Tulane on February 11
- Wichita State is 3-2 on the road this season.
- The Shocker roster is made up of five returners and three international additions in Giorgia Roselli, Anne Knuettel, and Xin Tong Wang.
- The Shockers are coming off their first season with a winning record since 2018-19
- In the fall, freshman Wang advanced to the semifinals of both singles and doubles at the Fighting Illini open in Champaign, Illinois on Nov. 9
- In team action in the fall, Roselli and sophomore Kristina Kudryavtseva tied for the team lead in singles wins with five each.
- In doubles, the duo of Theodora Chantava and Clara Whitaker totaled the most doubles wins in the fall with four.
- So far this year, Wang and Chantava lead the team in total wins with eight each.
- The duos of Wang/Natsumi Kurahashi and Roselli/Chantava lead the Shockers in doubles wins with four.
SERIES HISTORY VS UT-ARLINGTON
- Wichita State leads the all-time series 9-3
- The Shockers won seven consecutive matches against UT-Arlington from 2012 to 2020
- The Shockers are 4-2 against the Mavericks when playing in Arlington.
- UT-Arlington has won two of the last three contests.
- The Mavericks won the last matchup in Arlingtonn March 6, 2022, 4-0.
LAST TIME VS UT-ARLINGTON

LAST MATCH
- The Shockers inked out a win at home against Tulane, 4-3
- The Shockers won a tight doubles point and pulled through with wins at singles courts two, five, and six.
- Freshman Roselli won the match for the Shockers with a sweeping, 6-0, 6-3 win at court six.
