TEMPE, Ariz. – Wichita State men's tennis fell in a pair of matches Friday evening to the Northern Arizona Lumberjacks and Arizona State Sun Devils. With the defeats, the Shockers finish 1-2 in their matches in Arizona.
Northern Arizona (1-1) had a strong showing in doubles, snagging the point with victories on courts two and three.

The Lumberjacks claimed a victory at court six singles to extend their advantage to 2-0.
A defeat of
Marcelo Sepulveda on court four increased the Lumberjacks lead further to 3-0 and shortly after, a win over
Misha Kvantaliani at court No. 2 would end the match 4-0 in favor of the Lumberjacks.
In their second match of the day, Arizona State (2-0) jumped on the Shockers early by taking the doubles point with wins at courts one and two.

The Sun Devils took an early 2-0 match lead after
Alejandro Jacome was retired by injury at No. 1 singles.

ASU wrapped up the 4-0 win with defeats of Kvantaliani at court two and
Vanja Hodzic at court three.

The Shockers will take a week off before heading back out on the road, this time to Lubbock, Texas to take on the Texas Tech Red Raiders at 12:00 PM on January 20.
