Maryville, Mo. – The Wichita State cheer and dance teams traveled to Maryville, Missouri to participate in the National Cheerleaders Association (NCA) and National Dance Alliance (NDA) summer camps on the campus of Northwest Missouri State.

WuShock earned Best Overall Mascot, All-American distinction, gold bid to compete at NCA Mascot Nationals, and superior ribbons for Mascot Crowd Engagement and Mascot Walk.
 
The Shocker dance team brought home the NDA Spirit Stick, first place championship of DI Team Performance and a superior rating in Game Day Performance and Team Dance Performance. The team also earned a silver paid bid to the 2024 NDA Collegiate Dance Championship in Daytona Beach, Florida.
 
Alaycea Kremeier and Bailey Buchanan were both named NDA All-Americans, making them eligible to be invited to perform at Special Events across the country.
 
The Shocker cheer squad also found success at camp, coming away with the NCA Spirit Stick, first place in Rally Routine for Division I, superior rating for Game Day Performance and Rally Routine along with the Most Improved Award for all divisions and earned a silver paid bid to the NCA Collegiate Cheer Championship in Daytona Beach.
