CINCINNATI, Ohio – The Wichita State women's tennis team finished out a successful road weekend with a 5-2 victory over Xavier on Saturday.
24 hours after sweeping American Athletic Conference rival Cincinnati, the Shockers (11-8) made short work of Xavier with an impressive doubles point and wins at Nos. 3-6 singles.
"We played great doubles this weekend," Foster said. "More importantly, we pressed the reset button immediately in singles and expected a tough fight on every court. We played with great composure. Every single player contributes to these team wins, regardless of their individual result."
Winners of four straight, WSU will take next weekend off before finishing out the regular season at home against Creighton on Saturday, Apr. 15 (1 p.m. CT).
