WICHITA – The Wichita State men's tennis team swept its home doubleheader, shutting out Oral Roberts, 4-0, and Cowley, 4-0.

The Shockers (9-8) clinched the doubles point against ORU (5-10) with a shutout win by
Alejandro Jacome and
Richey King, followed by a 6-3 victory by
Misha Kvantaliani and
Orel Ovil at No. 2, leaving
Kristof Minarik and
Alex Richards' court one match unfinished at 4-all.

Duccio Petreni won his second No. 6 singles match of the season, 6-3, 6-2, to put the Shockers up 2-0.

In his first outing at court two, Jacome claimed a straight-set victory, 6-4, 6-1, giving
Luke Bracks the clinching point with Bracks' 6-2, 7-5 win at four. Jacome improved to 9-4 in singles.

The Shockers stuck with the same doubles pairings in the second match against the No. 1 junior college in the nation. After a loss at one, they rallied back at No. 3 and No. 2 to come away with another doubles point.

Bracks earned his second win of the day, only giving up two games at court five (6-0, 6-2), and
Orel Ovil picked up his fourth No. 2 singles win of the season, defeating the No. 1 JuCo singles player to put Wichita State up 3-0.

Kvantaliani claimed his first No. 1 singles win with the Shockers, taking down the No. 8-ranked  JuCo singles player, 7-5, 6-4, to clinch the match and give the Shockers their second shutout of the day.
