The Red Raiders (3-4) claimed the doubles point with a 6-3 victory at court two followed by a 6-4 win at three.
Kristof Minarik and
Alex Richards had battled back from down 4-0 but left the No. 1 doubles match unfinished at 3-5.

The Shockers (4-5) won three of the six first sets in singles. Serving underhand, Minarik pulled off a 7-6(5) first-set win at court one before giving up the second set 2-6. Kvantaliani and Jacome also won their first sets at Nos. 3 and 4, respectively. All three matches were left unfinished after Texas Tech won in straight sets at courts two, five and six.
