The Wichita State women's tennis team picked up its third straight victory, downing Abilene Christian, 6-1, in a Friday afternoon dual match on the Wichita Country Club indoor courts.
 
The Shockers (3-1) breezed through the doubles point and took each of the first five singles matches in straight sets.
 
At No. 3, Kristina Kudryavtseva battled back from a 5-4 deficit to take the first set and won the second in a tiebreaker.
 
ACU (3-3) salvaged the final point at No. 5 singles in a third-set tiebreaker.
 
"We played a complete match, up and down the lineup," head coach Colin Foster said. "Doubles, obviously, always sets the tone, and we came out with great aggressiveness. In singles we stressed the importance of staying in the moment and competing relentlessly, regardless of the score. We did an excellent job of that, as well. The players are all being coachable and working hard, and they're hungry to keep getting better."
