WICHITA – The Wichita State men's tennis team was swept by the Golden Hurricane Thursday at the Sheldon Coleman Tennis Complex.

In the 0-4 loss,
Luka Mrsic and
Orel Ovil were up 5-4 at No. 1 doubles against the No. 73 ranked Tulsa duo, but the Shockers (12-12) relinquished the doubles point with 3-6 losses at courts two and three, leaving their match unfinished. In singles, Tulsa (12-9) earned three straight-set victories at courts two, five and six to secure the sweep.
Alex Richards won his first set, 6-2, at No. 3 but fell in the second, going to a third set that went unfinished, and
Kristof Minarik came back after a set one loss to win the second set, 6-4, and force a third before play was halted.

The Shockers return to the courts to face No. 17 Middle Tennessee St. on Saturday at 1 p.m. The match is scheduled to be played outdoors at the Sheldon Coleman Tennis Complex following a USTA Campus Kids' Day. Free beer and seltzers will be served to match attendees.
