LUBBOCK, Texas – The Wichita State men's tennis team travels to Texas to square off with Texas Tech and UT Arlington Saturday and Sunday.
 
"This weekend is going to be tough," head coach Danny Bryan said. "We've got to really just tough it out and hope we can get some guys to recover as quickly as possible."
 
The Shockers (7-5) open the weekend Saturday at 11 a.m. against No. 36 Texas Tech (8-5) in Lubbock, Texas. The Red Raiders are on a three-match win streak, defeating LSU, Denver and Tulsa and have won one of four matches against ranked teams this year. Wichita State will be looking to get their first-ever win over Texas Tech.
 
On Sunday, Wichita State continues on to Arlington, Texas where they will face UT Arlington (7-4) at 11 a.m. The Mavericks are coming off a 6-1 loss to UTSA and will host Texas A&M - Corpus Christi prior to meeting with the Shockers. Wichita State leads the all-time series with UT Arlington 9-6, winning the last three.
