Alex Richards made their first appearance in the national doubles rankings, coming in at No. 49 ahead of a two-match weekend in Iowa.
Â
The Shockers (6-3) also entered the rankings at No. 55 as a team following their 6-1 victory over Denver, where Minark and Richards took down the No. 24 ranked doubles team in the nation at court one.
Â
This weekend, Wichita State plays Western Michigan (3-4) on Saturday and goes on to face former Missouri Valley Conference rival Drake (1-7) on Sunday.
Â
The Shockers look to redeem their 2019 loss to Western Michigan when they fell 5-2 in Minnesota, and improve upon a four-match win streak against Drake.
