WSU (6-5) is coming off of a weekend road split, winning last Friday at Oral Roberts (6-1) but falling Saturday at now 37th-ranked Arkansas (4-0).

The former was Colin Foster's 322nd dual match in 13 seasons at Shocker head coach, passing Les Stafford (321 from 1990-2004) for the most in program history.

The Shockers are looking to knock off a nationally-ranked foe for the first time since Mar. 20, 2021 when they defeated No. 45 Kansas by a 4-3 count.

WSU is 3-1 all-time against the Tigers. Last April's 4-2 victory in Memphis was the first meeting between the schools since 1984.

Memphis is out to a 7-4 start, which includes a 1-4 record against teams currently ranked in the ITA's top-75. Earlier this month, the Tigers defeated No. 71 Kansas State, 4-3. It's the first of a three-match road swing for Memphis which continues its journey Sunday at Tulsa and Tuesday at TCU.

This is the last home action for the Shockers until Mar. 17 and 18 when they're scheduled to make their season debut at the Sheldon Coleman Tennis Complex against visiting Cincinnati and South Florida.
