Box Score FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – The Wichita State women's tennis team finished out its weekend road swing with a 4-0 loss at Arkansas on Saturday morning at the Billingsley Tennis Center.
The host Razorback (5-3) won the doubles point and clinched the match with singles wins at Nos. 1, 3 and 5.
"It was great to get some outdoor tennis yesterday against Oral Roberts, but that made transitioning to a faster indoor surface against a hard-hitting Arkansas team that much more difficult," head coach
Colin Foster said.
"With that said, Arkansas played a great match. We kept our heads up. Even when it wasn't looking great, we were able to stay in matches and give ourselves chances. We just couldn't convert enough of them."
The Shockers (6-5) return home next Friday to face Memphis at the Wichita Country Club. First serve is scheduled for 6 p.m. CT.
