WICHITA, Kan. – The Wichita State men's and women's cross country teams earned USTFCCCA All-Academic honors with their performances in the classroom and on the course.

Yazmine Wright captured individual All-Academic honors for her 17
th place finish at the NCAA Midwest Regionals along with a GPA of 3.25 or higher.

Both of head coach
Kirk Hunter's cross country squads earned team All-Academic honors with a men's team GPA of 3.33 and a women's team GPA of 3.18.

In order to qualify for All-Academic honors, student-athletes must have a cumulative GPA of at least 3.25 on a 4.0 scale and finish in the top-25 (or 10 percent) at the NCAA Regional Championships or as an All-American at the NCAA Championships. Teams are required to have a GPA of 3.0 or higher to qualify.

On the course, Wright claimed victory at the American Athletic Conference Championships, along with three other regular season meets, while four Shocker men earned all-conference honors to help the team to a second-place team finish at the AAC Championships.
