A couple of early three-pointers from Carla Bremaud and Nhug Bosch Duran gave the Shockers an early 8-7 lead, but would not score for the final 5:14 of the opening period. UCF scored the final six points to take a 13-8 lead after 10 minutes.

Wichita State was just 3-for-14 from the field in the first period.

UCF wasted little time pushing its lead to double digits in the second quarter. The Knights pushed the lead to 21-11 at the 7:15 mark. Five points from Asinde and a pair of three-pointers from Shamaryah Duncan off the bench kept the Shockers within striking distance down the stretch until the Knights scored the final four points to take a 34-22 lead into the locker room.

Wichita State was just 7-of-27 from the field and outrebounded by 10 in the half. Despite missing its only three attempts from beyond the arc, UCF converted on 45 percent of its tries from the field.

UCF applied its pressure to begin the second half, scoring the first six points to up its lead to 40-22, forcing a Keitha Adams timeout. Not even two minutes later, the Knights increased the gap to 22.

The Knights' lone three-pointer came at the end of the period to make it 58-34.
