WICHITA, Kan. – Wichita State junior forward
Jane Asinde was named to the American Athletic Conference Weekly Honor Roll for the third time this season, it was announced Monday afternoon.
Asinde averaged 13.0 points, 8.0 rebounds, 3.5 steals and shot 45.5 percent from the field in two games last week. The Kampala, Uganda, native scored a team-high 17 points on 6-of-8 shooting and also registered six rebounds and a career-high four steals in a win at Cincinnati. She finished the week with a 9-point, 10-rebound, 3-steal and 2-block performance vs. Memphis.
Her three weekly honors lead all Shockers, followed by
Asia Strong with two and
Mariah McCully with one.
Asinde and the Shockers return to action on Saturday in New Orleans when they face Tulane at 2 p.m. on ESPN+.
