Box Score DALLAS - Wichita State women's tennis was unable to pick up an opening win in Dallas as they fell to SMU, 4-0, on Friday.
 
They'll have two more opportunities for a win this weekend as the Shockers take on UT Arlington tomorrow at 11:00 a.m. at the UTA Tennis Center and North Texas on Sunday at 11:00 a.m., at the Waranch Tennis Complex.
 
Doubles
The Shockers weren't able to get any momentum in doubles play. The duo of Sarvinoz Saidhujaeva and Marta Bellucco were on a three-match win streak, but they were bested by the SMU No. 1's, 6-3.
 
Singles
A match that went the distance would have seen a number of competitive battlers for the Shockers. At one, Saidhujaeva was in a three-set match versus Jackie Nylander and was up 6-2, 1-6, 4-2 before play was stopped. Marta Bellucco had just won a tiebreak in the second set to force a third set and Jessie Zheng had a chance to win a point tied 6-6 in the second.
